Swenson Monument is 4th Generation owned and has been helping families memorialize their loved ones for over 90 years. Oscar Swenson was the founder of Swenson Monument Sales in the early 1930's, later taken over by his son Melvin who traveled the mid-west selling memorials for Kollmann Monumental Works. In 1984 son James M. Swenson took over the business from his dad Mel. Continuing to grow the business and list of satisfied customers all the way up to 2013 when Jim passed away. As both sons of Jim were involved with the business growing up, Scott decided to take over and maintain the family business in 2014.

Many changes and advances have taken place since Great Grandpa Oscar designed and set his first cemetery marker.  We now utilize unique software to help families create their own designs as well as custom designs that we offer.

All Foundations are poured and include frost depth post holes to ensure that the memorial will not lean or sink. The key to a lasting memorial, is a proper foundation.  We also offer Granite foundations.
